Heaton Park Garden Centre’s cafe, the Hidden Gem, had been experiencing persistent problems with its Wi-Fi reception. As more customers were relying on card payments since the Covid-19 pandemic, these issues were causing significant disruption to the cafe’s operations.

The Hidden Gem’s old wiring and equipment were causing intermittent Wi-Fi reception problems, with some days where the cafe was unable to take card payments. The cafe manager, Mandy, needed a reliable solution to ensure that her customers could make payments without any disruption.

To solve the problem once and for all, the team stripped out the 70 metres of old cable from its mostly ground-based, external location, installed new cable, and placed it high along the surrounding wall, finally protecting it with a strong plastic casing.
